Our final full day of Swim Trek!
Ricky challenged Duke to a run to the Hog Heaven barbecue restaurant at 6 am. What Ricky failed to mention is that Hog Heaven prides themselves on being 1300 ft above sea level! The first half of the run took 25 minutes - the return trip took 13.
Notice the restaurant WAY up the mountain.
Proof that we made it to the top!
Big swims for our final full day. Swim #1 was approximately two miles from Peter Island to Norman Island. Swim #2 was the epic crossing from Norman Island (BVI) to Flanagan Island (USVI) - that's right, we swam from the British Virgin Islands to the US Virgin Islands! The second swim was about two miles as well.
Tracee and Susanne celebrate
Tracee, Susanne, and Ricky too!
Susanne waves the American Flag - our world class swimmer made the crossing! Notice the island where we started in the background.
The pink caps wave the American Flag - Michael, Clive, & Susanne.
Gigi, Marshall, and Duke made it to the U.S. - passports only a little soggy.
Kelly and Jill going through customs.
Duke and Tracee showing the proof that we made it to US waters.
Swim Trek has an issue with Ricky's awesome beard - something about it not being professional enough. Come on, how professional does a swim guide need to look? Kelly joined the cause:
SAVE RICKY's BEARD
Besides, it is great protection from jellyfish. Swim Trek - if you are reading this, please note that our intrepid group of 16 swimmers wants you to let Ricky keep his beard! Customer is always right?
